Workflows

Updated by Manvendra Singh

The Workflow Status feature in Molecule helps you manage the trade lifecycle by enabling you to define custom statuses that can be assigned to trades. This feature provides flexibility and control over the status assignments, ensuring that trades are accurately tracked through different stages.

You must have workflow admin permission to access and configure workflows for your team.

Creating a New Status

To create a custom status for your team, follow these steps:

  1. Click the "+" icon to create a new status.
  2. Enter a name for the status, description, and assign users who can access the status
    • Users who do not have permissions for a particular status will see that status grayed out on the trades screen.
    • The permission applies to setting a status, but not un-setting it. So, if a status has been set on a trade, users without permission will still see it but will not be able to modify it.
  3. Save the new status to add it to the workflow list.

Editing an Existing Status

If you need to make changes to an existing status, follow these steps:

  1. Click the three dots (hamburger menu) next to the status name.
  2. Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
  3. Make the necessary changes - you can assign users, change the name and description of the status. Save your edits.

Deleting a Status

To delete a status that is no longer needed, follow these steps:

  1. Click the three dots (hamburger menu) next to the status name.
  2. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Reordering Statuses

You can change the order in which statuses appear on the trades screen by moving them around. To reorder:

  1. Grab the 9 dots symbol across the row of the status.
  2. Drag and drop the status to the desired position in the list.

The new order will determine how the statuses appear on the trades screen.
